Back to the 80's

So the other day at school it was 80's day. When I walked into the school I couldn't believe my eyes. There were side ponytails, big earrings and BRIGHT make-up. On Sunday we had 2 friends over Ondrej (Hope I spelled that right. It is pronounced Andre) and Brad. Then I went downstairs and got my parents' old glasses. I wore Mom's to school and got a a bunch of teachers to say: "I used to have a pair just like that!" OKAY...While at school everybody was focusing on the "hip" side of the 80's, I wonder what the church was like back then. Different I know. But I wonder if nowadays we miss out on the passion that people had back then for God. Why should the young people worship less now than the young people did back then? Yes we are living in different times and things change. But our worship shouldn't. Well that's all for now. I will blog you soon with a post about our Cherish Conference.

Sunshine!!

So today it is warm enough that I could have worn just a vest. The sun has been shining and all though right now the sun is not out, the day is warm. These clouds could mean rain, which could mean the snow going away. YAY!! But rain can turn the roads slushy and muddy. Oh, how I long to be in Florida or Alabama right now, with warmer weather and sunshine.

Soon I will have to change the name of this blog to something springy or summery. I can't wait!!!

Speeches....

I really don't understand why we have to do speeches 6 years in a row. At least make it a optional thing. Yeah it's that wonderful time of the year again, where we all choose a topic, get info and write a 3-4 minute speech. Sound easy? Well try making a speech on a "intellectual" topic sound interesting to a bunch of 7th grade kids... I am not very good at speaking in front of people. (YEAH RIGHT) Usually I am good as long as I don't compare my speech and think about my teacher in the back marking me.
Tonight we are having a missionary service which is always fun. The Cantrell's are awesome so we should have a blast. Well that's all for now. If I were on MSN I would probably say TTYL, but seeing how this is a blog I will say farewell till I blog again.

My New Blog

So this is my new blog. I am not going to be as good at this as my cousin Melinda, but I will try my best. Right now I am looking out the window wondering when the snow is going to start. We were supposed to have a storm last night, but (fortunately or unfortunately, not sure which) it didn't snow at all. Up here all of us kids want the snow to come so we can have snow days, but at the same time, it puts our schoolwork behind schedule. Last year we had so many snow days a rumour was going around that our district might have lengthen the school year. Luckily that was only a rumour and we finished school at the right time. I am excited for summer and even spring to come. Although I don't like spring because of all the slush and mud.
I am not too excited about this week at school, except Friday. I have to present my speech on Thursday and I'm NERVOUS about it. I have a test on Thursday and I have to finish a title page for Art... Anyway I hope your lives aren't as busy as mine.
